When you ask Obeya for a card and name a later time for it, such as "early December" or "in two weeks", the card is now created and set aside until that time. On that day it starts by itself. Until now Obeya either started such a card at once, where it could end up in the queue behind other work, or left it planned with nothing bringing it back.
A card for later waits until then
